In order to manufacture high-quality rotors and disks of high-capacity power-generating machines, special technology of steelmaking has been developed. Carbon deoxidizing of steel is applied. Highly pure feed materials are used. Low-silicon steels of 26KhN3MFA, 25KhN3MFA, 35KhN3MFA are used. Electroslag welding is used for manufacturing the billets from corrosion resistant steel. Mass of ingot of this steel is 130 tonnes. Mass of ingot of other steels is 420 tonnes. Special methods of heat treatment and forging have been developed. Forging has mass of 250 tonnes. Ultrasonic inspection allows to monitor quality of forging. |
